Super Big Sister Belle

Belle greets Emily at the bottom of the slide. Emily can go up and down the slide herself!

Emily and her friend Rylea in the wagon

Rylea's mother Katie and I first met when we younger than Belle is now.

Oh, how times have changed

It wasn't that long ago when Saturday nights meant drinks with friends and dinners out. Maybe a movie or a show.

Those days are O V E R.

Tonight, I did a load of laundry, paid two bills, and made three dishes that I intend to serve and eat for dinners during this upcoming week, which will be an extremely busy one.

Sometimes I miss those carefree Saturday nights out; life is so different now. But, I feel accomplished (and exhausted), and know I'll be glad to have clean laundry, paid bills, and food to serve and eat this week. Also, as always when I reflect on my pre-kids life, I am so grateful to be Belle and Emily's mommy that every lifestyle change seems worth it.

I am currently looking forward to my soup, stir-frye, and frittata cooling enough for me to put them in the fridge, and put myself to bed.

Snuggling while reading books

The plan for sleeping arrangements (post books)--- Noah in the bed and Belle in her princess sleeping bag on the crib mattress on the floor.

Emily's cute expression

"Belle gets to play with Cousin Noah. Where's my play mate?"

Fun with Cousin Noah

Lunch, Play-Doh, rock painting. So much fun!

Thanks, Frozen.

Belle: I don't need my coat. The cold never bothered me anyway.

Coffee date

It's actually coffee - free (the beverage Emily is enjoying, that is). The coffee is typical Starbucks, but the company couldn't be better.

Fun at Sephora

One eye has purple eyeshadow. One eye has pink eye shadow. And the lips are raspberry.

Joys of Fatherhood

I had a work trip the other day that took me to Philadelphia and Atlantic City for two days.  I returned home on Seren's birthday.  The girls and I sat on the floor for a birthday-gift picnic.  As I sat down, Emily walked over to me with a great big smile, said "Dada," stepped on my lap and gave me a hug.

I was very happy to be home.  She's starting to call me Dada.
