Dress-up
Belle and Emily sometimes treat Sadie like a doll, and Sadie is so cooperative, she acts like one. For example, Belle and Emily just started taking dress-up up a notch by putting clip-on earrings on Sadie. Sadie stands patiently while her big sister adorns her little bitty ears, and then enjoys showing off the new bling.
Incidentally, both Belle and Sadie enjoyed a pajama day today.

“Octopus!”
Emily is kind big sister who relates to baby Sadie well. This morning, Emily ran to Sadie's room when Sadie began stirring. Em turned on the overhead light projector and got into the crib with Sadie. Sadie delighted in this. She didn't scream for Mommy or lament the company in the squished, little crib. Instead, the two lay down together and Emily taught Sadie the names of the sea creatures circulating in the overhead light projector. This evolved into a game in which they counted counted down until the octopus cycled through and then yelled, "octopus!" in unison with glee.
It was a delightful start to the morning.
