This is how Craig started too
This is in the middle of cousin Owen's birthday. Daddy used to do the same thing. He's less anti-social now.
Flowers in her hair
At cousin Owen's birthday party, Belle had a flower in her hair. This is how she got it. Thank you cousin Samantha.

"I wear my sunglasses at night"
Belle grabbed and put on her sunglasses around dinner time tonight and insisted on keeping them on all through dinner and bedtime. Here she is in her PJs with her shades. Cool cat...

Tag Team CLEs
This morning, I participated in a CLE teleconference. I decided to do it from phone because there was too much to do in the house this morning to get to the office by 8:30. I plopped down on the couch, computer in lap, phone dialed in (but on mute), and Belle plopped down next to me. She was jealous I got to use the computer, but she enjoyed listening to the presentation on pre-litigation agreements (which seek to minimize the expenses of litigation).

"Pease"
Belle continues to develop an understanding of the power of "please" ("pease"). She knows that if she stands in front of the fridge and says "pease," an adult will usually come and open it for her. She gets that if she takes the food item she desires from a fridge shelf and says, "pease," she is usually invited to eat some of the food item. She is learning to replace her whining with a "pease," which is a great victory for me.
I should note that, so far, Belle has "peased" only organic yogurt, prunes, and water. I imagine the time will come when she is "pease"ing for cupcakes and ice cream, but her food choices are so healthy right now that I can't argue with her requests (because I'm a sucker for the "pease," AND because her requests are thus far reasonable).
"Thank you" is next on the polite-word list.
