Happy eighth birthday, Belle

Belle’s 8-year-old check-up

Belle is doing well! She measured up at 53.5 inches tall (91st percentile) and weighed in at 71 pounds (87th percentile). She is tall, and also consistent.

Unbeknownst to me, Belle grabbed herself a pamphlet in the pediatrician office about puberty in girls, so we've had quite a few interesting conversations since her annual check-up.

Summer

Keeping it real

This was a challenging vacation due to illness. We did our best to have fun between bouts of fever, but it was not easy. We took two kids to a local urgent care clinic. We called our pediatrician at home twice. We stopped by two different CVSs four times. Our rental home looks like a pharmacy.
Finally, on our last day, everyone is healthy and having fun. Can't say we are not a bit disappointed, though.
