Well I took Emily's hair braid out, Sadie decorated the walls.
Thank goodness it was a washable marker (and I have great cleaning helpers)

Belle shares a book
Belle volunteered to share a book with her class. The book was a gift to Grammy from her grandfather (Belle's great-great-grandfather) given to Grammy when she was about Belle's age. Belle is showing how her grandmother, uncle, and now she all enjoyed the book.
Belle's teacher was impressed with her initiative: Belle asked to share this interesting family artifact.

Greetings from Inwood
Emily has a play date in Riverdale so Sadie and I explored Inwood right next to the Columbia football stadium.
Belle: usher extraordinaries
Belle and I ushered for (and saw) a performance of Beauty and the Beast at the White Plains Performing Arts Center. Belle was a wonderful program-distributer. The production was beautiful!

Emily’s new wallet
Every time we pass a store that sells cellphones, Emily asks when she can have her own cellphone. The answer is, "a long long time from now."
Yesterday, Emily came home from school and brought her piggy bank down to the dining room table. She asked me to help her put her money into a change purse she found among our dress-up collection. I helped her exchange 40 quarters for $10, and she was so excited to have her own money to bring with her shopping. She exclaimed proudly, "now I can buy my own phone with my own money!"

Rice and corn
Sadie tried some of Ms Deya's lunch, and she loved it!
(Deya contacted me first to make sure it was OK for her to give Sadie the food; Deya is so respectful)
