The end of an era

Craig disassembled the crib today. Emily's room looks so big with just her toddler bed! It's the first time since we've lived in this house that we haven't had a crib in the nursery. We are a little sad.

Sharing Emily's toddler bed

The girls fell asleep together in Emily's toddler bed. Belle is holding Emily's foot. Adorable,  but not a recipe for a good night's sleep. Craig moved Belle to her bed a minute ago. Love loving sisters :)

Telling it like it is.

Last week, I picked up Belle and her friend from school.  Here's one of the conversations I was privy to:

Belle's friend: Mrs. Cepler, your car is really messy.
Belle: This is my daddy's car. My Mommy's car is way more messy.

Thanks for telling it like it is, girls!

Success!

Emily's first night in her toddler bed was a success!  We didn't hear a peep from her after we tucked her in, and she slept through the night.  Craig heard her walking around a little before 6am.  When he went into her room, she declared, "It's morning time!"  Then she proudly informed him that she got our of bed all by herself. Craig suggested she read to herself in her bed for a while, and she did for a while (which afforded us a little more rest).
I hope tonight goes as well!

Moms Night Away

Drinks on the Hudson and then a sleepover in an empty home in Briar Cliff Manor. Roughing it in Westchester. A wonderful evening away. N

The best Mother's Day gift: a productive Sunday

We acquired a new fridge and did some hard work (see mulched back bed). How wonderful to have such a productive day!

Rocking the sick day

I remember staying home from school when I was sick and watching the Price is Right and Charles in Charge. Belle comes to my office and watches Pirates of Penzance with apple juice and a buttered roll.
