The two things in motherhood that were equally difficult with each child: breastfeeding and daycare drop-off. Sadie easily went into Deya's arms and then happily played with the toys in the playroom. An hour after we dropped Sadie off, Deya sent this smiling picture. I'm sure Sadie will be fine. It's still hard for Craig and me.

Sadie's one-year check-up

Sadie is one! She continues to grow nicely along the same growth curves. She is 28 3/4 inches long (34 percentile), weighs 20 pounds and 8.5 ounces (62 percentile), and has a head circumference of 18 1/4 inches (85 percentile). She was pleasant during the exam, though she didn't enjoy her two shots nor when the nurse drew blood from her finger. But a few tears in the doctor's office is worth being immune to some pretty awful illnesses.
Anyway, keep up the great growing, Sadie Maxine!
