I splurged for a pedicure this morning while the girls were at their Sunday morning classes (gymnastics and swim). I chatted with the employees in Korean. They offered me tea and hugged me when I left.
We found a gift bag on our front porch this morning. Inside was a beautiful handmade tooth-shaped pillow with a pocket on its back. The note in the gift bag revealed that the handmade craft was from the girls' dentist to Belle in preparation for Belle's potential forthcoming visits from the tooth fairy.
Hugs from manicurists and gifts from the dentist: we have established some pretty special relationships here.
