This is long overdue:
The four of us spent the weekend with family on Long Island at the start of the summer. We planned at attend a family pool party on Saturday, but the weather was poor so the party was cancelled. Instead, Cousins Noah and Belle simple played. The rain prevented the kids from going to a park or playground or swimming pool, and they never once looked at a screen of any kind (television, phone iPad). The two nearly-five-year-olds just played together nicely. They didn't fight or yell or make a ridiculous mess. They just played. It was rather astounding, actually, how the cousins enjoyed each other's company so much and played together so nicely. It was pure joy to witness.
