Belle and Emily LOVED the beach! They swam and built sand castles and made friends and played nicely with their cousins Isabelle and Owen and had a fabulous time. I thought we'd stay an hour or two. We stayed nearly five.
Not everyone loves the beach. It's sandy and salty. The water is often cold. You can't see the bottom of the water. The sun is strong. The sand can be hot. The rocks and shells can be sharp. None of this bothered Belle and Emily. After applying sunscreen and eating a small snack, the girls went right into the Long Island Sound. The calm water was shallow enough for both girls to stand most of the time, and it was warm, too.
Can't wait to take them back!
