11/11 in NYC

Our train arrived at Grand Central and then I walked the girls down to the Empire State Building. It was an exciting walk down Fifth Ave as the City prepared for the Veterans Day Parade. The parade also made for some tricky maneuvering to get to the ESB. Belle recognized the building from our Good Night, New York City book.
We visited with a Uncle Steven, which was a treat. He gave the girls cooled-down hot chocolate and sent us home with a generous goody bag of clothes for the girls.
From there, we walked to a 39th St and Broadway to participate in a toy focus group. Thank goodness I'd borrowed the stroller riding board. Emily was a treat in the stroller, and Belle was thrilled to ride along. Anyway, the focus group organizers welcomed us with pizza, salad and fruit for lunch. Pizza and toys? Best day ever for the girls. The focus group was really cool, and the girls had fun.
